Praxis has important relationships with many other organisations with whom we share common values
and commitment to delivering the best service to our clients
and achieving the changes they need.
Doctors of the World UK and the NCADC deliver services within our premises.
Praxis is also a member of other Forums and partnership bodies.
Doctors of the World’s clinic within our building in Bethnal Green offers primary care and health and social advice from volunteer doctors, nurses and support workers for excluded people including asylum seekers, undocumented migrants, homeless people and sex workers.
Here volunteer GPs and nurses offer medical check-ups and STI screenings while case workers give advice and try to get people registered with their local GP. They also offer screening, vital for public health, and signpost to other services, including housing advice, destitution support and specialist counselling.
The charity runs a women’s and children’s clinic here on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
The New Resident and Refugee Forum is a multi agency forum which meets quarterly to create a platform for dialogue between community members, third sector organisations, service providers and the Local Authority. Each forum focuses on an issue relevant to new communities in Tower Hamlets and aims to identify local priorities as well as find ways we can work in partnership to address community issues.
PICUM - the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that aims to promote respect for the human rights of undocumented migrants within Europe.
