Duration: fixed 9 months contract with possibility of extension

Category Advice, Information , Legal

Sectors : Human Rights

The OISC Level 2 qualified post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the project at No Second Night Out hubs and various accommodations, sensitively exploring the options for homeless people to regularise their migration status and access services and support. Recently our charity has been key in uncovering the Windrush Scandal and evidence arising from your work will be used to advocate for migrants’ rights and for immigration issues to be seen as a support need, rather than as a barrier to accessing support.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues faced by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at-risk. You will have a good understanding of the challenges faced by these groups, including destitution and inability to access services due to No Recourse to Public Fund status. You will have to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders.

Street Legal is a cross-sector partnership managed by Praxis Community Projects in collaboration with Refugee Action and St Mungos.
