Shelter Training
Praxis has partnered with Shelter to produce a range short e-learning courses. The courses are fully funded by the MHCLG and so are free to access for staff and volunteers. You can complete as many courses as you like, whenever you want. Courses include:
No Recourse to Public Funds
Overview of immigration and public funds
Supporting people ineligible for assistance
Identifying immigration status
Introduction to the habitual residence test
Key terminology and the Homelessness Code of Guidance
EU migrants' rights – pre-settled status
EU migrants' rights – settled status
Habitual residence
Identifying immigration status for frontline staff

Training for organisations supporting homeless migrants in London
Praxis works in partnership with Homeless Link to provide regular online training sessions and bitesize eLearning funded by the Mayor of London for organisations supporting those experiencing homelessness for immigration-related reasons.

Praxis training is based on our experience of working with homeless migrants over many years. We have delivered training to a range of organisations including Crisis, the West Midlands Combined Authority, Little Village, Ark Housing and Hastings, Eastbourne, Lewes, Rother & Wealden Councils.
